Hess (1875-1933), signed and dated '1934' on the front, 23 1/2", and Arpad Geyza Charles Gerster (Hungarian/American, 1848-1923), self portrait, 1918, oil on board, inscribed in latin with a monogram and dated upper right, 11 3/4" x 15 3/4", Gerster was a member of the New York Academy of Medicine, along with after Henry Inman (American, 1801-1846) portrait of Philip Syng Physick, lithograph, 9 1/2" x 7 1/2", University of Pennsylvania label on the reverse.
