Description: I am a true Art Deco lover, and to me the ones with a gold background are the most beautiful one that's why I always am in search of finding one, and the task gets even more difficult to come cross the oversize ones. I have found a few standard room sizes in gold ground, but it has been a while that I never come cross a palace size one in gold ground until now. I also must admit that it has been a while that I never had a huge oversize antique Art Deco with this magnitude of beauty. Whatever, a deco lover anticipates in an Art Deco rug as far as the pattern & color combination goes, they could be seen in this beauty. I spotted this rug from an estate in Rancho Palos Verdes, CA. It was an Art Deco Ocean front house with 270 " view. I was told that the house was built with Deco style back in 1924, and this rug has been there ever since. This rug indeed is a very early production of Art Deco because it has become nicely low pile from top to bottom with both ends are intact. It does show some very minor wear, which is very normal for an almost century old rug. The simplicity is very important for deco lovers, also unsymmetrical pattern , there are four different flower branches come inside of the rug from all four corners but do not continue all the way into the field that's why you see the gorgeous plain gold field. Another thing that I am amazed with this, the color combination of the flowers, sensation & well balanced & contrast. I always believe that there are some rugs that we do not need any description because the picture depicts the beauty of the rug, and this is one of them, absolutely an eye lingering piece, just imagine it in your place. When you get it open it, lay it down, decor around it then it will di its magic. It measures 10'-9" x 15'-10". Finally, The BUY It NOW price that I have set for this beauty, is absolutely a bargain, therefore, if you were looking for one, do not let this slip away because it eventually will.
