A chickadee perched on a wooden base with a carved sunflower seed. Melbye, a builder by trade, followed in Elmer Crowell's footsteps as one of Cape Cod's best decorative bird carvers. Incised signature on underside of bird by maker.
Excellent original paint with minimal wear.
