Description
131.47ct GRS Certified Bluish-Green Cuprian (Copper Bearing) Tourmaline - This stunning gemstone is a 131.47ct pear cut natural cuprian (copper bearing) tourmaline. The gem comes with a gemstone report from Gemresearch Swisslab (GRS) which states an origin of Mozambique, and a bluish-green (Paraiba-type "neon" color) with minor elements (including copper) such as found in tourmalines from Paraiba. Paraiba tourmaline is one of the rarest stones in the world, and gems of this size and quality are becoming increasingly hard to find in today's market. These gorgeous gemstones are only found in copper rich areas such as Brazil, Nigeria and Mozambique, and mining these stones is difficult and mostly done by hand. Copper Bearing "Paraiba Type" tourmaline displays a stunning, vivid blue green color due to the presence of copper, making this particular color of tourmaline one of the most sought after by gem collectors, as they appear to have a stunning neon-like glow even in low lighting conditions. Measurements: 37.76 x 29.24 x 18.58mm. PLEASE NOTE, PRE-AUCTION SALES: GWS reserves the right to sell any Lot(s) through a negotiated transaction at any time prior to the conclusion of the auction. If a Lot is sold through a negotiated transaction, it will be withdrawn from the auction. Please email gwsauctions@gmail.com to submit a pre-auction offer.
