Two leather bound hardcovers. Thomae Bartholini "Inauribus veterum Syntagma" (Jewelry of the Ancients), printed in Amsterdam, 1676. Foxing, wear and loss to cover. And "A Lapidary or The History ofPretious Stones" (sic) by Thomas Nicols. The title page as well as several others are reproduced copies bound into the book. Reproduced title page is dated 1652 and original pages printed on laid paper arecorrect for that date. Wear. Together with "Il Nuovo Delle Gioie..." by Pietro Caliari 1682. With a glued library label for Giuseppe Pocci delle Stelle. Printed on laid paper with several pages handwritten in ink withdrawn illustrations. Recovered in pink paper. Wear, toning, some stains.
