Antique Natural Oval Emerald, Gold, Diamond and Platinum Brooch. Oval cut emerald approximately 11.3 x 14.3 x 5.9 mm, apprx 5.7 carats. The emerald has natural inclusions and has characteristics of a Columbian emerald. Surrounded by twelve old European cut diamonds, each apprx 27 plus points, apprx 4mm dia x 2.7 depth on openwork diamond base, with female clasps at each end (probably a bracelet previously). The base has twenty eight 2 to 3 point old European cut diamonds, apprx 56.84 points total; fourteen graduated old European cut diamonds, apprx 75 pints total. Overall apprx 4.59 TDW, G-H color. The emerald can be detached from the brooch by a threaded screw fitting. Weight: 18.11 g. Dimensions: 2.25 in.l.
