Size 6.10x9.10 feet, made of fine quality lamb's wool pile on cotton foundation, all natural vegetable dye, incorporating a beautiful and very popular 'four seasons' design and finished off beautifully with a cream colored intricate floral border. A very nice looking and finely contrasted. Hand woven by Bakhtiari nomadic tribes of western Iran. The approximate year of origin: 1975-1985. Bakhtiari is an ancient southwestern Iranian tribe. Bakhtiaris were nomaidc pastoralists and weaving rugs was and still is a unique way of expression and telling stories."
