A German Continental silver salver serving tray. Round form with rope-twist decorated border. Raised on 8 antique coins. The underside with German hallmarks, 835 (silver standard) and the maker's mark G within a star (see photos). Measures 12" diameter, 2" high. The coins consist of the following, 1) Napoleon III, Empereur Francois, 5 Francs, 1867, 2) Louis Phillipp I, 5 Francs 1834, 3) Amedeo I Rey, (Spanish) 5 Pesetas,1871, 4) Republique Francaise, 5 Francs, 1851, 5) Francios I, 5 Francs, 1907, 6) Louis Phillipp I, 5 Francs, 1834, 7) Charles X, Roi, 5 Francs 1827 and 8) Liberte, Eglalite, Fraternite, by Dupre, 5 Francs, 1873. Overall weight 906 grams.
