Description
George III English John Jefferies Biggleswade Tall-Case Clock. The bonnet with as brass capped broken pediment supported by four fluted columns with brass capitals and pediments; the hand-painted dial with floral spandrels and a finch to the center, Arabic numerals; with single weight and pendulum. Biggleswade, Bedfordshire, England. Circa 1820. {Approximate dimensions: 76 1/2 high x 19 1/2 wide x 9 3/4 inches deep.}. Condition: Some surface wear throughout. Some repairs to moulding and minor moulding loss throughout. Chips to veneer around the dial. The door has a hard time staying shut. The clock has not been wound or tested. With pendulum and weight.
