Bookbinding.- Hobson (G.D.) English Bindings 1490-1940 in the Library of J.R. Abbey, number 143 of 180 copies signed by the author and Major Abbey, title in red & black with Abbey's arms in gilt, 130 illustrations on 92 leaves including12 full-page chromolithographs heightened with gold, mounted on stubs, with ink stamp of R.C.A. Design School to front free endpaper but no other stamps and internally an excellent clean copy, original buckram by Sangorski and Sutcliffe, gilt-stamped brown morocco spine label, t.e.g., a little rubbed, 4to, privately printed at the Chiswick Press, 1940.
