Cerograph engraving is a uniquely striking map of Texas and a truncated Indian Territory. It was engraved by Fisk & Company of New York and published c1893 by Hunt & Eaton. Shows railroad lines and railway stations with a scale of 1" to 70 miles. Counties and cities are depicted, many of which no longer exist. Features wide margins which makes this particular example ideal for framing. Condition excellent, with virtually no toning. Lovely pastel colors (pink, yellow, green, light purple, blue and black) are strong and the print image is sharp and clear. Texas stands out because the area immediately outside the borders of the state is a starkly contrasting black and white. This map comes matted. Map image is 9 x 11.375. Overall mat size is 16 x 18.5.
