Papua New Guinea Abelam People (East Sepik Province) shell ring (yua) fashioned from the marble-like shell of the giant clam, one edge with incisions (kokomo) painted with clay, raised on stand. Overall: 9.25" H; ring: 7.75" H x 9.25" W. Possible area of restoration. Provenance: Property from the Estate of designer, model, television host, and business woman, Nina Griscom.
