Description
1950s-60s French Foreign Legion Uniform. Named to POSADA (under the shoulder board flap), with rank of Second Lieutenant. This uniform has a French Paratrooper Badge. Makers Mark on the reverse of the badge reads LES INSIGNES MILITAIRES Drago Paris 3.r de Romainville DEPOSE. French Foreign Legion Badge for the 1st Foreign Cavalry Regiment (painted enamel). It bears the dates 1635 and 1921 with the motto NEC Pluribus Impar (which means Not Unequal To Many), and the French Foreign motto Honneur Fidelite (Honor and Fidelity). On the back are markings that reads Delsart Sens H. 162. The badge is 1 1/2" long. The Fourragere cords are attached to the jacket. The tags in the inside read: 104. 92 L GM. and Paul Boye SETE 1972. Note: There is a large stain on the inside of the jacket that is possibly blood. There is also a button missing on the flap where a shoulder board is located. One shoulder board is missing.
