Leonetto Cappiello (1875-1942), considered the "father of poster art" was an Italian artist who emigrated to France to participate in the poster revolution taking place. Creating a style of bold colors and an identifiable subject, he created over 1,000 posters and mentored many poster artists.
Cognac Pellison emphasizes the fact that the product is very light, enabling the red headed subject to carry the keg on his back. The poster is linen backed, measures 31" x 47" and is in excellent condition.
