This lot consists of an unframed oil painting on canvas, done in the Fauvist style of Georges Rouault (French, 1871-1958). Image depicts a female figure at her bath. A warm and sensual piece that would make a fine addition to any collection. Hand-painted inscription at bottom center. Overall measurements approximately 23.5" x 15.5".

Reverse side of piece features an affixed label and one stamp.

Georges Rouault (French, 1871-1958) was an illustrator, printmaker, and painter. Rouault was heavily involved with both the Fauvist and Expressionist art movements. From 1895 on, Georges Rouault took part in many major art exhibitions, developing close friendships with fellow artists like Henri Matisse.
