A very fine old carved wooden spoon or ladle with fish tail like handle and a well worn surface patina suggesting ritual use. Torajah peoples, Sulawesi ( Celebes) Island, Indonesia. The Spoon measures 5.75 inches long ( 6.25 inches tall on custom base) and will include a custom display stand. Provenance: Ex Jan Baum Gallery, Los Angeles, USA , 1988.
