Utagawa Hiroshige I (Japanese, 1797-1858) Wild Duck Beneath Snow-Laden Reeds, Edo Period(1615-1868), circa 1830 Woodblock print (Nishiki-e); ink and color on paper O-tanzaku-ban 15 x 6-3/4 inches (38.1 x 17.1 cm ) Signed Hiroshige hitsu, and with one red seal Fukuju The poem on this print reads: The wild duck calls. When the wind blows, the surface of the water ripples.
