A unique set of authentic cards from the heyday of NBA dunking and the oversized or "Super" set from Michael Jordan's rookie year. These amazing photos were taken during Slam Dunk contest and each photo is an action shot of the player finishing at the rim. Many consider this to be one of Michael's best action shots on a card. As with many Star Basketball issues from this era the production was limited making the cards scarce, especially in high quality conditions. This ten card set was found tucked away in an album of cards from the 1970's and 1980's. The set was in the original clear plastic bag, but the way it was stored the bag was not breathing and became tattered. The cards featured are the checklist/group photo, Clyde Drexler, Julius Erving, Darryl Griffith, Michael Jordan, Larry Nance, Terence Stansbury, Dominique Wilkins, Orlando Woolridge and Dominique Wilkins Champion card. In regards to condition of this amazing set: #10 Wilkins does have a light off-color to the back from the plastic. #9 and #10 do have a dimple sized imprint on the back showing on the front. After decades of sitting in the album page, the first four cards in the set show an impression/indentation across the front of the card. It shows the most on card #1. With that said, the middle card in the set, Mr. Michael Jordan was protected from all of this! Good thing because it is a beauty! A close scrutinizing leaves us to give this amazing card a high grade. NRMT-MINT caliber. There are so few experts that handle Star cards in regards to grading it is difficult to be 100% accurate with the grade. There is chance it could come back a slightly higher grade, but have not handled a large quantity of them so our calibration might be conservative. Take advantage of this rare opportunity!
