Description
Yi Haung (1820- 1898), Orchids. Korean six panels screen. Ink on silk. The first panel, ink on paper, depicting calligraphy by well known Japanese collector, Naito Konan (1866 - 1934), his two seals on the lower left. On each of the five silk panels with his collection and artist's seals. Orchid paintings on each of the five panels.
Image size on each panel: 32 x 14 1/2 inches. Each panel: 20 1/4 x 52 1/2 inches. Overall framed screen: 53 3/4 x 132 inches. One of the most widely imitated scholar painters in the history of Korean painting.
