Reputedly ca. 1520, painted vellum page with gilt accents. Central image with border of cornflowers and potted carnations with butterflies, snail and caterpillars. Framed with a similar engraving of the same sceneafter Albrecht Durer. Minor wear. 21.5"h. 8.5"w.

03-16-21 Not examined out of frame. Engraving attached at top corners to backing, has minor loss lower right corner. Painting doesn't lay flat, has faint short scratches above Pilate as well as some pinpoint flaking in same area and in sky. Sky also has some tiny stains. 03-18-21 Tape residue on top and bottom edges. Wear to borders, old paper residue on back top edge.
