Description

Monumental Patinated Bronze Garden Fountain

in the Beaux-Arts neoclassical taste, signed "S. Keliam", of two-tier form, the upper bowl on a lion-masque pedestal over a tazza-form bowl, the sides adorned with cabochons, fruit scrolls and lion masques, the basin on an octagonal pedestal fronted by standing full-figured classical maidens depicting Lasaone, Laloire, Veronica and Meranie.

Condition

In overall good condition. The surface is oxidized from exposure to the outdoor elements. The ball at the top is attached to a bronze rod that runs down to the inside bottom of the fountain. Water pumps up through this rod and to the sprinkler ball at the top. This rod is snapped in half at its mid-point. No evidence of any other damage. It comes apart in three sections to transport. There is no pump. Approx. weight 400 pounds. Diameter about 49".
