The Bald Eagle grasps a bundle of arrows and an olive branch in its talons while spreading out its sizable wings. The eagle also carries a banner that reads "E Pluribus Unum" and the shield on its chest is embellished with the US flag. Thirteen stars above the eagle symbolize the original colonies. Inscriptions regarding the coin's weight purity denomination and country are positioned around the rim.
