Description
Albert Speer (1905-1981) Minister of Armaments and War Production in Nazi Germany. Speer was Hitler's chief architect before becoming his Minister for Armaments during the war. He reformed Germany's war production to the extent that it continued to increase for over a year despite ever more intensive Allied bombing. After the war, he was tried at Nuremberg and was sentenced to 20 years' imprisonment for his role in the Third Reich. His book, in German, Spandaner Tagebeicher, Propylaen, 1975, signed on the first blank page. The dust jacket is worn with some paper-loss in the top margin of the spine, otherwise very good.
