NEW YORK – It is a truth universally acknowledged, that in the season of cold and darkness, even the most jaded of New Yorkers jump at the chance to walk in, around, and through anything made of flashing, colored lights.

I was once again reminded of this ageless rule when running errands near the Flatiron Building and coming face to face with wintertime’s latest sculptural nemesis titled Nova.

WALWORTH, Wis. – Mecum Auctions will host its second Austin, Texas, collector car and Road Art auction at the Austin Convention Center on Dec. 11-12 with an estimated 600 vehicles expected to cross the auction block and more than 100 items of Road Art. NEW YORK – Capo Auction Fine Art and Antiques in Long Island City topped off their five-year anniversary by selling an Antonio Bandeira oil-on-canvas painting for $168,000, making it the top selling item in the auction house’s history at their Nov. 21 sale. The November auction also set records as the top-grossing auction of the year thus far at Capo Auction, bringing in just under $400,000.
