NEW YORK – An 18K gold, diamond and sapphire cocktail ring, a pair of 18K gold Love earrings by Cartier, and an Art Deco platinum, diamond and emerald brooch will vie for top lot status at Jasper52’s Fine Antique Jewelry and More sale, which will be conducted on Tuesday, October 4 at 1 pm Eastern time. Absentee and Internet live bidding will be available through LiveAuctioneers.

The 131-lot sale features a selection of cameo pieces, such as a pair of mid-century 14K gold cameo earrings; a Victorian-era onyx and 10K gold cameo that can be worn as a pendant or a brooch; a circa-1920s 14K white gold cameo of a young woman who wears a necklace set with a diamond weighing a tenth of a carat; and a circa-1970s 14K gold and diamond cameo bracelet featuring an image of a cat, flanked by sculpted cats that have eyes set with opals and emeralds, respectively, and is also decorated with seven and a half carats of aquamarines.

Other distinctive pieces in the October 4 sale include an 18K white, yellow and rose gold, diamond, ruby and emerald cherry pendant necklace; a striking mid-century 14K gold, amethyst, diamond and green enamel ring; a 14K white gold, diamond, ruby and sapphire ring in the shape of a heart and with the gems set in an arrangement that approximates an American flag; a circa-1960s 14K gold, diamond and ruby ring that takes the shape of the face of an owl; and a platinum ring centered on a citrine that weighs more than 10 carats and is sandwiched between a pair of blue topazes that together weigh more than eight carats.

Also of note are brand-name watches by Vacheron Constantin, Rolex and Baume & Mercier for Tiffany & Co., as well as a selection of charms that includes a 14K gold example in the shape of the state of Texas; a two-tone 18K gold charm in the shape of the famed cruise ship, the Ile-de-France; and a circa-1950s 14K gold and diamond charm that depicts the five cards needed for a royal flush in poker.

The first highlight, a circa-1980s 18K gold, diamond and sapphire cocktail ring, features .80 carats of H color, VS 2 round full cut diamonds in a halo design surrounding a large blue oval cabochon five-carat sapphire. It is estimated at $1,500-$2,000.

The pair of 18K gold Love earrings by Cartier predate the year 2000 and feature a push-back closure. Its estimate is $3,000-$3,500.

The Art Deco-era platinum, diamond and emerald brooch features a pleasing geometric design that centers a white diamond and graces it with 12 rays comprised of emeralds. It carries an estimate of $30,000-$36,000.
