NEW YORK – On Wednesday, October 20, starting at 11 am Eastern time, Jasper52 will conduct a 426-lot sale with the title of Designer Jewelry & Watches. Treasures on offer include a Cartier Byzantine 18K gold bracelet with diamonds, rubies, sapphires, and emeralds; a Van Cleef & Arpels Alhambra 18K yellow gold, coral, and diamond ring; a Bulgari Cicladi 18K white gold link chain necklace; a Mikimoto 18K white gold, pearl and diamond bracelet and necklace set; a Temple St. Clair cord bracelet with a serpent charm; and literally hundreds more from houses, firms, and artisans you admire. Absentee and Internet live bidding will be available through LiveAuctioneers.

First up is a Temple St. Clair cord bracelet with an 18K yellow gold serpent charm, which measures slightly more than seven inches long. The serpent is depicted with its tail touching its head. The undated piece, which bears the Temple St. Clair hallmark and features a Vermeil clasp on its black cord, is estimated at $300-$350.

Equally delightful is a Cicladi 18K white gold link chain necklace from the noted Italian jewelry house, Bulgari. The slim, simple, elegant necklace, which bears no date, can be adjusted to lengths ranging from 15 1/2 inches to 18 1/2 inches. It carries an estimate of $2,500-$3,000.

Another unimpeachable standout is a Cartier 18K gold bracelet with diamonds, rubies, sapphires and emeralds. Specifically, it boasts 24 round brilliant cut diamonds VS1 clarity, E color, with a total weight of .50 carats; six emeralds and three rubies, each group of which weighs in at .50 carats; and a pair of sapphires that together weigh .25 carats. The style of the bracelet is described as “Byzantine,” meaning its general appearance references the culture and motifs of the Eastern Roman Empire, which emerged after the fall of Rome and lasted until Ottoman forces captured Constantinople in 1453. The undated bracelet is estimated at $18,000-$22,000.
