NEW YORK – An 18K gold ring centered on a 13.33-carat natural blue-green sapphire, a pair of dangle earrings graced with 50 carats of briolette and rose cut diamonds, and an 18K white and yellow gold diamond ring will likely earn top lot status at Jasper52’s sale titled Classic to Modern Jewelry and Stones, which will take place on Tuesday, August 9 at 1 pm Eastern time. Absentee and Internet live bidding will be available through LiveAuctioneers.

Other prizes in the 300-lot August 9 auction include a natural royal blue cushion cut tanzanite weighing 58.21 carats; a 14K rose and white gold bracelet sporting 23.25 carats of vivid pink sapphires, accompanied by diamonds; necklaces of natural multi-color Tahitian saltwater pearls as well as a strand of natural golden South Sea pearls; an emerald cut natural aquamarine of 42.01 carats, set in an 18K white gold ring with diamonds; and a 14K white gold ring with a 6.41-carat vivid orange sapphire.

Also on offer is a natural 8.30-carat amethyst set in a platinum ring with diamonds; an 18K gold, diamond and emerald cluster halo bracelet; a 2.12-carat pigeon blood red ruby in an 18K gold ring, flanked by slightly more than a carat’s worth of diamonds; a natural 8.50-carat tanzanite, cut into a heart shape, surrounded by diamonds and set in a pendant; a mesh purse fashioned from 14K gold and accented with diamonds and sapphires; and a vivid green natural 6.70-carat emerald in (what else) an emerald cut, attended by diamonds in a 14K white gold setting.

Highlights that demand a closer look include a pair of 18K gold dangle earrings of floating grapevine form that feature 50 carats of rose cut and briolette diamonds. Each earring in the pair measures 2.25in long, and the estimate is $36,000-$43,000.

Another head-turner is an 18K gold and white gold ring, size 7, which spotlights a 0.73-carat full cut, brilliant round diamond of H color and Vs-2 Clarity. Its estimate is $5,500-$7,000.

The final highlight is an 18K gold ring, size 10, which showcases a 13.33-carat natural blue-green sapphire, ringing it with 2.34 carats of natural baguette diamonds. A total of 4.50 carats of natural rubies decorate the sides of the ring. As with many stones and pieces in the August 9 sale, the sapphire is GIA certified. This statement ring carries an estimate of $44,000-$53,000.
