CLINTONDALE, N.Y. – Kensington Estate Auction’s July 12 online sale will include estate fine art, graffiti and industrial art; sculptures, photography, porcelain, 19th-century international posters, movie inserts from the 1940s-1950s, American train sets, rugs, folk art, art books and more. Absentee and Internet live bidding will be available through LiveAuctioneers.

An urban art collector’s corpus would not be complete without a painting from the renowned Canadian artist Richard Hambleton, known as the Shadowman.  The Hambleton painting offered in this auction is unique in that it is one of his landscape paintings, distinct from his Shadowman works. Special to the painting category are works by the famous Cuban artist Zilia Sanchez. Born in Havana in 1928, Sanchez left Cuba for New York in 1962. The paintings offered in this auction, dating back to the mid-1950s, reflect her visual art training from Havana. Other original works on offer are from the French artist Noe Canjura and the Puerto Rican American graffiti artist LA II (Angel Ortiz), which include paintings and a day-glo-colored male torso sculpture. Paul Cadmus, David Curtis, Arnold Lobel, Albert Pels, Herman Rose, and Yiriy Tarasov are all represented in the sale.
