NEW YORK – On Wednesday, October 27, starting at 8 pm Eastern time, Jasper52 will host a tightly curated 73-lot sale of Designer and Signed Jewelry. It contains an Elsa Peretti for Tiffany & Co. yellow gold and diamond solitaire necklace; a Maramenos & Pateras yellow gold and lapis lazuli earrings and necklace set; a sterling silver brooch by Georg Jensen; a set of 18K yellow and white gold earrings by VR; a vintage Oscar Heyman yellow gold, platinum, diamond and emerald bracelet; a Spain Carrera 18K gold necklace; an 18K gold ladies’ watch by Boucheron with diamonds and rubies, and dozens more. Absentee and Internet live bidding will be available through LiveAuctioneers.

First among the highlights is an undated pair of 18K yellow and white gold earrings by the Italian designer VR. The clip-on earrings, which together weigh 21.9 grams, or about one-seventh of an ounce, and measure an inch tall, feature a forceful geometric pattern dominated by alternating rings of gold and silver. The earrings carry an estimate of $1,000-$1,200.

Also of note is an undated 18K gold necklace by Madrid-based jewelry house Carrera y Carrera. The 18-in chain features a pendant depicting a pair of elegant, regal-looking hands holding a heart decorated with 12 diamonds. The necklace is estimated at $3,500-$4,000.

Rounding out the highlights of the Designer and Signed Jewelry lineup is a necklace and earring set by Maramenos & Pateras. Based in Athens, the Greek jewelry house has created Hellenic-inspired pieces since 1969. This particular necklace-earrings set dates to the 1980s and features 18K yellow gold set with lapis lazuli. Its visually compelling design draws its strength from concentrating on one simple form – the triangle – and repeating it in different sizes and colors. The necklace measures slightly longer than 15in and weighs almost three ounces, while the earrings measure just shy of two inches and weigh one-seventh of an ounce. This seriously impressive statement piece is estimated at $8,000-$10,000.
