NEW YORK – A platinum engagement ring with a 4.57-carat GIA-certified white diamond, a set of 18K white gold Art Deco diamond drop earrings, and a ladies’ watch by Blancpain will likely earn top-lot status at Jasper52’s Iconic Designs: A Fine Jewelry Auction, which will take place on Friday, April 7 at 9 pm Eastern time. Absentee and Internet live bidding will be available through LiveAuctioneers.
The 106 lots in the sale include a strong selection of pieces that showcase colored gemstones, such as a 9.11-carat GIA-certified step cut rectangular emerald, set in a diamond, platinum and 18K gold ring; an unheated color-shift Ceylon sapphire of 8.65 carats in a diamond and 18K white gold ring; a 17.25-carat natural aquamarine in an Art Deco platinum and diamond ring; an early 21st-century diamond and platinum ring that highlights a 3.97-carat Australian black opal from Lightning Ridge; and a large cabochon of lemon quartz over mother of pearl and circled by diamonds in an 18K gold ring.
Other standouts include a 5.39-carat triangular rubellite tourmaline in an 18K gold and diamond ring; a 5.5-carat oval of jade flanked by baguette cut diamonds in an Art Deco platinum ring; a 14.33-carat dark violet blue tanzanite set with natural peridots and yellow diamonds in an 18K gold band; and a platinum wedding ring that highlights a GIA-certified 3.48-carat natural bright green tsavorite.
The highlights, however, all feature white or colorless diamonds. First among them is a Blancpain ladies’ watch, dating to the year 2000 and estimated at $7,000-$8,000. It boasts a 25mm 18K white gold case with a diamond bezel surrounding a silver diamond dial on a silver leather strap with an 18K white gold tang buckle. Its condition is described as “near mint, with no scratches on the sapphire crystal and only very fine brush marks on the band and the bezel from some light use.”

Another impressive piece is a set of 1930s Art Deco 18K white gold diamond drop earrings that measure about 1 3/4in long. The Old European cut diamond drops at the end of each respectively weigh 1.31 carats and 1.14 carats and are GIA certified; the overall carat weight of the earrings is 3.25 carats. The pair carries an estimate of $14,000-$17,000.
Completing the highlights is a spectacular triangle-shaped platinum ring centered on a 4.57-carat GIA-certified white diamond of L color and I1 clarity, described as having a “trillion cut.” Created in 2021, its estimate is $47,000-$56,000.
