Julien’s to auction opulent antiques, decorative art March 4

LOS ANGELES – Julien’s Auctions will present “A Gentleman’s Arcade of Luxury Treasures,” an auction taking place in Beverly Hills and live online on March 4. Bid absentee or live online through LiveAuctioneers.
“A Gentleman’s Arcade of Luxury Treasures” offers an opulent collection of antiques, decorative art, tableware, men’s clothing, luggage, and accoutrements from a gentleman’s chic San Francisco residence.
The discerning décor features a complementary mix of period and 20th century burlwood Louis Philippe (below) and Biedermeier tables and chests intermixed with custom velvet and chenille upholstery by designers such as Donghia and Nancy Corzine. Other furniture accents include Japanese Meiji cabinetry and artwork and Art Deco period and style furnishings and accents.

The treasures of the table include two large Hermes dinnerware services (above), dishes by Puiforcat and Ginori, Buccelatti sterling flatware and Baccarat stemware.

Other decorative items include a Puiforcat silver-plated tea set, multiple Cartier Art Deco-style clocks and lighters, and Lalique, Daum and Baccarat vases, perfume decanters and figurines.
Fine and decorative jewelry by Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Cartier, Hermes, Damiani and Tiffany & Co. will be sold.

There is a vast collection of high-end Christmas ornaments by designer Patricia Breen, and other collectible ornaments by Christofle, Gorham, Lalique, Baccarat and Lenox.
