WALWORTH, Wis. – Mecum Auctions will commence its “road art” auction in Kissimmee, Fla., with approximately 1,500 pieces on offer starting Jan. 16. It will be one of the largest automobilia and petroliana sales of the year.

Major collectors will be presenting their signs, neons, pumps and “oilers” for sale, many for the first time in decades. Most items are original and in near-mint to mint condition. Massive, original signs that once hung outside dealerships promoting in vivid neon brands such as Packard, Lincoln, Ford, Chevrolet, Willys and many more will be presented for sale along with a multitude of porcelain signs promoting products ranging from the oil and manufacturing to the food industries.

Offered in conjunction with a lineup of 3,000 classic and collector vehicles constituting the largest collector-car auction in the world, the Kissimmee sale at Osceola Heritage Park is a must-attend for collectors and enthusiasts alike.

Kissimmee will also provide the chance to acquire a right-hand and a left-hand single-sided neon porcelain Mobil Pegasus set (above) in fantastic condition (Lot F247). Measuring 9 feet by 6 feet each, the neon on both signs glows with exceptional brilliancy and the animation operates flawlessly with the porcelain on each impeccably well kept. The pair is estimated at $20,000-$30,000.

The Mecum Kissimmee collector-car and Road Art auction is open to buyers, sellers and spectators with general admission tickets available at the gate for $30 per day or $180 for all 10 days; children 12 and younger are admitted free of charge. Bidder registration includes admission for two and is $100 when completed in advance online, or $200 on-site at the auction.

LiveAuctioneers.com will facilitate absentee and Internet live bidding on Road Art items, which will be sold Jan. 16, 18 and 21-24.
