In Memoriam: Ginger Renner, authority on artist C.M. Russell, 89
GREAT FALLS, Mont. (AP) – Ginger Renner, a leading authority on Western artist Charlie Russell and a supporter of the C.M. Russell Museum in Great Falls, has died in Arizona. She was 89.
Museum Executive Director Darrell Beauchamp said Renner died Sunday at a local hospital near her Paradise Valley, Ariz., home after a fall.
He told the Great Falls Tribune that her death is a tremendous loss to the museum where her expertise was invaluable.
Renner was not able to attend special museum events last week due to failing health.
Amanda Stine, Renner’s daughter, says Renner’s attendance at museum events was hugely important to her.
