NEW YORK (AP) – Entertainer Tony Orlando is teaming up with the Franklin Mint to produce a number of military-themed collectibles.

The Philadelphia-area company says the Yellow Ribbon Medal of Freedom, Wounded Warrior Sculpture, the Yellow Ribbon of Freedom Sculpture and several other products will honor the men and women of the U.S. military.

Orlando said in a statement from the museum that he has been a collector of the company’s products since he was a child.

Tony Orlando and Dawn’s 1973 hit Tie A Yellow Ribbon Round The Ole Oak Tree inspired the custom of using yellow ribbons to remember and honor military veterans, and also inspired other forget-me-not ribbons—red for AIDS, pink for breast cancer.
