MIAMI – The Kimpton EPIC Hotel presents a new art exhibition celebrating Women’s History Month titled Mira Lehr: Continuum, on view now through April 20. The nationally acclaimed eco-feminist artist is celebrated for co-founding Continuum in 1961, one of America’s first art collectives for women artists. It thrived for more than 30 years, and her vision to kick-start the local art scene influenced the evolution of the visual arts in Miami.

Smithsonian to display 120 lifesize statues of women scientists

WASHINGTON (AP) – The Smithsonian will commemorate Women’s History Month in March by displaying 120 life-size neon orange statues depicting women who have excelled in the fields of science and technology. The 3D-printed statues will be displayed in the Smithsonian Gardens and in select museums in the Smithsonian network from March 5-27. A statement announcing the display called it “the largest collection of statues of women ever assembled.”
