HERSHEY, Pa. – When the Mustang turned 50, owners and fans had the idea of marking the anniversary date of the Mustang’s introduction on April 17, 1964 with a celebration. Now National Mustang Day has grown into an annual event. This year, partnered with CJ Pony Parts, the Antique Automobile Club of America Museum invites Mustang owners to come to the Museum on April 17 and showcase their cars from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The open-house-style homage to Ford’s world-famous prototypical “pony car” encourages all Mustang enthusiasts to take part. Their news release about the event notes:

  • Owners can showcase their rides in a designated parking area especially for Mustangs.
  • Mustang drivers and their passengers will receive free museum admission courtesy of CJ Pony Parts. Enjoy a world-class automotive experience — cars, motorcycles, buses, and trucks — on the museum’s three levels.
  • Mustang drivers and their passengers receive a free commemorative AACA Museum, Inc & CJ Pony Parts decal.
  • Drivers of the first 100 Mustangs to arrive will receive an official National Mustang Day decal.
