Jeffrey S. Evans to host Nov. 11 lecture: The Political Table, a Conversation on Dining

CRAWFORD, Va. – On Nov. 11, Jeffrey S. Evans & Associates will open its doors to the public and host a lecture on “The Political Table – a Conversation on Dining.”

Ceramics Department Head, Brenda Hornsby Heindl, will present the lecture and discuss items included in Evans’ Nov. 12 auction. Among the highlights are: an important wineglass cooler from the President Andrew Jackson/Franklin Pierce-pattern White House service, the White House china of President Rutherford B. Hayes, a unique piece of French porcelain made for the American market, and an 18th-century Chinese export porcelain dish made for New York governor DeWitt Clinton. Heindl will elaborate on how these particular items were used and the role they played in a larger table setting.
