I have to say the people at Dane Fine Art auctions went out of their way to satisfy my concerns about my purchase. I was very unsatisfied when I received my purchase. A lithograph whose description claimed it to be 8X10 turned out to be more like 3X5. What was 8X10 was the matting not he litho. On top of that the matting was dented. I have to say that they were MORE THAN cooperative in issuing a full refund with shipping immediately. There might have been a miscommunication in the purchasing process but they made good their mistake.

This auction house continues to put up fine quality pieces for auction every month. They are super nice snd easy to deal with especially concerning the shipping. They ship directly and include the shipping price with the final payment cost. It is all made extremely easy so that a third arty shipper is not involved. DSSome suction houses can make shipping a very difficult and lengthy process so for me this is well appreciated

I don't think I'll be doing business with this gallery again. Pre-auction communication was poor with replies written with the skill of an 8-year-old and my most important question altogether ignored. There was no link provided with the invoice, the invoice email, or anywhere on the gallery's website to facilitate paying online even though the invoice email explicitly mentioned this as an option. Most distressing is that the gallery shipped the artwork, a 12 x 19 in. lithograph, by rolling it (yes, rolling it) with brown Kraft Paper and slapping it in a tube like it was a $10 poster. Now the lithograph does not lie flat, which makes the framing process more complicated and more expensive. Clearly my worst experience with any gallery or auction house. Consider yourself warned.

After purchasing the art, the invoice arrived right away. The format to make the purchase was easy and clear. They offer in house shipping which was well priced and alleviated a third party coordination. I would definitely purchase from Dane’s again. Thank you so much!

I. ve dealt with Dane for many years and have even visited their gallery although I live half a continent away. They know their business and deal fairly. Their in house shipping is also a plus.

They feel it's okay to get another work than I thought I was bidding on. I expect them to return all my money and I will return the work to them
