This auction House is a pleasure to deal with. Yet there are those that are a nightmare to deal with and quite frankly they do not care.

The painting I purchased after the auction from then was described as an oil on canvas and in fact was an oil on board. The painting was in horrible condition and a throw away let alone a pre sale estimate of 250 dollars. Wrong medium. Poor description of condition. Handbags were as described

I had requested a condition report and while they provided an accurate condition report down the painting, the frame, which had considerable losses was not mentioned at all and was difficult to see in the photos. After receiving, love the painting, but disappointed with the losses on the frame, especially since paying above the high estimate for the piece.

Each lot should have a description, condition report, and size of items especially the rugs.

The shipping expenses, and delays associated with timely delivery are a sore spot. The time line often to have an item picked up, packed, and mailed, is many times a 2-4 weeks wait. Sometimes the charges are just simply out of line. Once the product is in transits, the usual 4-5 day delivery period seems to be the norm, which is acceptable. I was pleased that the item once shipped, even from side the US, it was delivered in the same 4-5 day period, it was also packaged carefully. The shipper paid great attention to make sure that I received the item in the same condition that I purchased it in, but I didn't receive the item for 19 days from date of purchase, and I made payment for my purchase right-a-way. I believe the auction house takes care to be accurate in their descriptions. Hopefully some of these other auction houses will take heed, and remember a strong on going business is built on returning buyers, and the references that these clients make recommending these businesses to other potential buyers. All this said, I would purchase from A. H. Wilkens again, and I can't say that for many other auction houses using liveauctioneers to reach new buyers.

Once I was known to the auction house, everything was perfect and my favored pack and ship services this auction. To bid, pay and arrange pick-up and pack is easy.

I put up some glasses for sale and they sold them in October and as of today (mid March) I still have not received the proceeds! I have requested the payment several times and they always that they wlll, but nothing!!!

No... It's the best action in city!!!

I'm not satisfied; I have asked several times to assist with the shipping process. I also emailed 2 of the 3 shippers that were recommended. No reply whatsoever. I'm am still waiting for any communication to transfer the item that I bought to the Netherlands. I had great experiences with Eden Galleries during the summer. But opposite experiences with AH Wilkens.
