Philip Weiss sent an item I hadn't purchased, not the one I had. When I took it up with them, including a photograph, the response was not satisfactory. Another item fell apart when opened, and two recent purchases were also a little disappointing.

I haven't seen the shipping cost yet because I haven't received my statement yet. Most time Auction house's are high and one time I had to let my items go because shipping was more than the item cost.

The people who work there are wonderful... I spoke to someone on the phone and they were extremely nice and helpful... would love to deal with them again.

It was refreshing to deal with an auction house that handles their own shipping instead of falling victim to a blanket outsourcing policy and getting screwed with excessive shipping costs! It's an indication to me that auction houses that outsource shipping don't care about absentee bidders when in reality, most smalls go to absentee bidders where shipping is required. LiveAuctioneers should require in house shipping of their member auction houses. I have bid through LA several times and really like the ease and convenience it offers, however, the shipping aspect is a real concern to me. I generally will call the auction house and if they outsource shipping, I bid much lower in anticipation of getting ripped on shipping.

They did a great job. Items were as described and they shipped well.

I have dealt with this auction house several times and they always provide great service. The shipping is super fast and they answer questions promptly.

I think the descriptions should have more detail, and there should be more photos, especially when items get especially expensive. Since on-line bidders do not have the opportunity to view the item first-hand, all we can rely are on the descriptions and the photos. Most items have only 3 photos. Even ebay gives the seller about twelve. Take for example games. You do not mention anything about their completeness. They could be missing parts which would severely affect their value. Sometimes a lot could have 6 games, but all is shown is a side view of them stacked on top of each other. There could be a rare game stuck in the middle of an otherwise insignificant group of games. The company is very personable, spoke directly with the owner, who answered any and all of my question. They are also very acomodating and easy to deal with... no hassel purchase. The item I won were as described and depicted well in the auctions online photos. I am looking to doing business with them again in the furture.

Weiss made an effort to ship out my items in a lightening quick fashion-was really surprised at how easy it was to pay and receive items. I even called the auction house to compliment them... god experience

Like most Auction houses on Live Auctioneers, PWA has forgotten to update my recently won item to PAID, so it sits in my shopping cart and annoys me. I have paid, they have shipped to Sydney, Australia, I have run it and it is great! It is definitely PAID.

Hi More detail should be given on condition of the item certainly when it is a brass engine, does it run has got defects etc; thanks Richard

Very happy with my experience with Weiss Auctions. Always courteous and professional. As a side note.... I wish all Auction House would mark items purchased as completed, so my shopping cart only reflects items that are not paid. Bob

Photos of collectible items need to be more numerous and item need to be shown COMPLETELY unwrapped (out of the box and out of any inner wrappings), all sides including top and underside must be shown for fair and proper evaluation by the bidder.
