Very nice Auctioneer and great experience!
The whole process was seamless unlike many other auctions I have bid on. This auctioneer does things perfectly and was a positive experience all the way through from my bid to receiving the won item.

Description of the items and shipping
The description of the items I won at auction was right on. They were all beautifully described. The shipping was awesome. Wrapping was excellent and sent in a very safe, well packed box. I am very happy with this auction house and with their UPS shipping service. Will keep watching their auctions and will feel safe to go by their descriptions as I am unable to travel. Thank you. Pleasant but understaffed
Very nice folks to deal with but it’s apparent that this auction is understaffed at peak times. Couple this with shippers that seem equally understaffed to handle volume. The result is delay for communication as well as waiting to receive purchases. It’s interesting to note that purchasers are given a deadline for payment yet very slow in actually shipping purchases. No matter, I will give this auction another chance.

We appreciate your feedback! As a small boutique auction gallery we are always working hard to improve our service. After reading your review, I immediately researched your invoice to understand the situation. I found that you paid your invoice on October 17th and your purchase was picked up the same day by the UPS store. I contacted UPS who said an email was sent to you the same day, with a follow up a few days later. The store manager said that you were in contact but did not receive the second email, once you both connected your item was shipped. It is important to note that we offer several options in our terms and conditions for shipping, along with our recommended shipper the UPS Store in Seabrook. From history they are the most reliable and reasonable in pricing and try to accommodate our buyer’s needs. We have partnered with them for over 15 years with very few issues. Reliable and honest
I buy from this auction house long distance through Live Auctioneers. I find their descriptions and pictures to be accurate and if I need further info they are very prompt to reply and very honest. They are very personable and eager to make sure all is best for me with my transaction and delivery

Could Be One of The Great Ones
They have first rate product, excellent start pricing but deeply down hill from there if your a collector, for a one shot deal, gift buying etc, when it's frivolous there as good as anyone. But if your a serious collector you really have to pick your spots which makes them ordinary. Why am I so disappointed? Because they have the goods. Three times I questioned them on a particular piece and there response was to treat me like I'm the idiot. They obviously didn't know so answering a? I didn't ask was there sophomoric response, and that's the rub. They have the goods but have no clue as to the responsibility of having them, as a consignor I would be livid as a buyer I simply move on to the professional houses. That plus 3rd party hostage shipping ($70 for a $13 Trip) adds up to this review. Would I shop with them again, very very carefully yes.

I made an inquiry about the condition of the clock and the auctioneer responded. When I won, the auctioneer recommended the local UPS carrier to perform the shipment. The clock arrived damaged and a claim was filed with UPS. The auctioneer contacted UPS several times on my behalf to determine the status of my claim. Eventually, UPS did accept responsibility for the damage and reimbursed me for my the entire cost of the clock and its shipment. I appreciate that even though my payment was made in full prior to receipt, the auctioneer facilitated satisfaction of my claim. I am sorry that I did not receive the clock in the condition that was first discussed, but it is clear to me that John McInnis Auctioneer wanted everything to work out properly and extended the extra time an effort to be sure that I was taken care of.

Dear Paul, We apologize for the time it took to ship. The auction was a four day sale with over 2, 000 items to ship. Over 85 % of the items needed to be shipped which resulted in a shipping back log. We did offer other local shipping alternatives, but most of our customers do use the Seabrook UPS store. Too many lots. Why do I need an email from a shipper that they are SLOWLY dealing with 1600 lots to be shipped so it will be slow and I should be patient? Why not two sales with half the lots or three sales with a third the lots............. Sale was too big
