The descriptions were accurate but slightly more damage to the item than what I had hoped... but did expect having purchased many goods via auction and also typical if one is not there to inspect in person. All damage is fixable more or less but will take a few hours longer than I hoped to invest. Otherwise, all aspects of this transaction are rated quite high. I will return to bid again. Very professional auction house! Thank you!

said one shade had two cracked panes of glass. both came folded like an accordian. my local glass shop is charging me $150.00 to repair them. not a good way to keep customers.....

I'm very happy with item and auction house. Very fair and fast shipping.

The auction states a five dollar service fee by their shipping partner Pak which in reality is a $25 pick up fee and a additional $25 packing fee when I was contacted by their shipping company it was over $70 in fees for different reasons before postage 5 phone calls later their management still set on price gouging the customer. This price gouging has caused me to abandon the item at their shipper

Headline describes it. Moreover, low starting figures encourage bidding, and I love the convenience of in house shipping. Wish they offered a few more photos and/or mention of flaw (s) in description, but I would have no hesitation in bidding on their items again (and will probably do so)!

The people you might deal with in this auction house are very nice. The material they sold at the auction I participated in was accurately described (with one forgivable minor exception) and had realistic starting prices. I sent a question to the auctioneer as per the auction format and received a very quick response which was great. I liked the fact that their premium wasn't exorbitant and they ship inhouse at a price below many houses. The only issue I had was that their payment system is extremely antiquated-it needs to be computerized. They had to hand-do every online successful bidder. You had to call the auction house, got a voice mail that said they'd call back. It was nearly 3 days before I heard from them because they were so clogged with hand done payments. I would participate in their auctions again if they offered material in my collecting area.

I am so happy with my purchase. The Valley Auctions office staff member was most congenial and arranged for a shipper for my fragile glass framed purchase. It arrived safely and I now own a unique piece of American history. I will definitely watch for future items by Valley Auctions.

This was horrible! Shippers that they recommend were too ********** Expensive.

Besides being slow and extremely high-priced, the shipping sub-contractor called and attempted to charge me additional fees. After I informed them I had already paid their already high fees, they said they would review the situation. I did not receive a return call from the shipping agent so I called the next day and was informed that they had found my payment and shipped the items I had won at auction. Sub-Par Shipping Contractor for Valley Auctions!

The auction was great, really interesting items. It took a little effort to pay given the number of bidders calling in for payment, so it would really help to have an online payment option. Staff was helpful but shipping was really slow. Their shipping company wad good and helpful. It just took a really long time.

They need to change who they use for shipping. I felt lucky to have won the bid until I found out how much the shipping would be.

Item was well described and accurate. Phone contact was nice and friendly too. the only real problem is that SHIPPING CHARGE was seriously excessive in cost. Seems they use an outside shipping service which makes sense for larger and odd shaped items but not what I bought. They tell me that this is being fixed and will not happen again, I will take them at their word and hope this issue is fixed quickly. Best to deal with auction houses that do their own shipping! Otherwise a good transaction.

I hope the preceeding info on live auctioneer would be more readily accepted for payments. Otherwise, why have the info pre-established?
