Fine Books & Manuscripts

We lead off our first auction of the new year with an Americana session highlighted by troves of documents, books, memorabilia, and photographs related to the life and presidency of Harry S. Truman, most drawn directly from the never-before-seen files of one of his secretaries. With over 500 lots, the sale covers a wide range of disciplines including twentieth century literature, science, travel, children's literature, autographs, pulps, and monster magazines. A library of modern private press and illustrated books will also be offered. Accompanying the books and manuscripts will be a selection of vintage prints and posters. Live previews will be held in our Chicago gallery on January 25 - 26, from 10:00am to 5:00pm.
