RARE, LARGE EXHIBITION MODEL OF "PRINCESS ELIZABETH" BY JUMEAU. Marks: 306 / 71 Unis France 149. 33". Bisque socket head, blue sleep eyes with dark eyeliner, real upper lashes, painted lower lashes, amber eye-shadow, feathered brows, closed mouth, light brown human hair wig, original French wood and composition jointed body, antique lace frock, straw bonnet with tulle and floral decorations, antique teal blue leather shoes with gilt medallions. Commentary: Commemorative model created in 1938 in honor of the British Queen's French visit; the larger dolls identified as being for exhibition models only. Has fine quality bisque, rosy complexion, excellent original body, hands repainted, otherwise original finish.
