Chinese Ming Dynasty Period, Wucai carp motif porcelain jar. This porcelain jar has an open mouth with a slightly out-turned lip, short neck, globular abdomen, heavy on mid, raised on flat round footed base. The exterior decorated by applying of wucai design color, a variety of five-colored pigments creates bold opaque hand-painting of many carp swim and leap above thrashing lishui wavy waves, water plants, flowers bloom and scrolling interlocking tendril. The surface of the glaze is bright, smooth and glossy. The color is luster that fresh and gorgeous with unique charm.

The Shoulder bears a reign mark, a six under glazed blue script characters reign mark, Made In The Years of Jiajing Reign Period of The Great Ming Dynasty.
