The view of figures gathered along a riverbank signed lower left by the artist Ethelyn Cobb who is most associated with Indiana and New York, though views around the U.S. and the Caribbean have been offered at auction. Her studies include attendance at Cranbrook Academy as well as the Art Students League in New York City with Frank Vincent DuMond and at Columbia University in New York with Arthur Wesley Dow.
