Description
3rd-2nd millennium BC. An early Bronze Age broad biconical terracotta drinking cup with flared rim, discoid base, surface painted with three horizontal lines around the body and rim, with black transverse leaves between the two series of horizontal lines. See Satyawadi, S., Proto-Historic Pottery of Indus Valley Civilisation: Study of Painted Motifs, Perspectives in Indian Art and Archaeology vol.2, New Delhi, 1994. 204 grams, 98mm (4").
