Description
Near East/Pakistan, Indus Valley, ca. 4000 BCE. A terracotta cup on narrow foot with remarkably thin, generally straight though slightly concave walls from the Indus Valley. The body is comprised of red terracotta slipped with white with linear and geometric motifs painted in black and colored with red and green pigments. Size: 2-5/8" x 3-3/8" in diameter.
Provenance: Ex-private southern California collection, acquired before 2000.
