JOHN HERSCHEL GLENN, JR. (1921-2016). United States Marine Corps Aviator, Engineer, Astronaut, Businessman, and Politician, First American to Orbit the Earth, circling it three times in 1962, Served from 1974 to 1999 as a Democratic United States Senator from Ohio, in 1998, flew once again into space again at age 77.
Color Photograph Inscribed and Signed, "To Pete Leatherwood best regards to a strong supporter of the space program - (Signed) John Glenn", measures 8" x 10", no place or date, Choice Crisp Near Mint. The photo image shows a smiling historic astronaut and American hero John Glenn wearing a suit and bow tie, his hands on a globe of the world with an American Flag in the background. Boldly Inscribed and Signed in deep blue ink at the upper right field. Never creased or folded, thus excellent for framing and display.
