Aux Depens d'un Amateur. Paris, 1949. Portfolio loose as issued, in the original wrappers with an embossed drawing representing two hands in opposite direction, complete of the original chemise and slipcase. Limited edition of 164 numbered copies, of which this copy is one of the 26 on Velin d’Arches. A collective work publised at the initiative of the artists of the artistic group “Graphies”, the publication is dedicated entirely "At The Glory of the Hand"and it include texts and poems by Gaston Bachelard, Paul Eluard, Jean Lescure, Henri Mondor, Francis Ponge, René de Solier, Tristan Tzara and Paul Valéry, and 16 prints signed in pencil by each artists: Christine Boumeester (lithograph), Roger Chastel (eaux-forte), Pierre Courtin (burin), Sylvain Durand (burin), Jean Fautrier (eaux-forte), M. Fiorini (eau-forte), A. Flocon (burin), Henri Goetz (lithograph), Léon Prébandier (burin), Germaine Richier (eau-forte), Jean Signovert (eau-forte), Raoul Ubac (eau-forte), Roger Vieillard (burin), Jacques Villon (eau-forte), G. Vulliamy (burin), A.-E. Yersin (burin- black chisel).
